We're Expanding...Real-World Learning Beyond the Kitchen

Skillets & Rocks has always believed that the most meaningful learning happens through hands-on experience.  Building on our culinary education programs, we are expanding into partnerships with local businesses to create real-world learning opportunities for students.

This year, we are launching our new Junior Entrepreneur Programs — an initiative designed to connect students with local businesses through structured, real-world learning experiences. These programs help students explore how businesses operate, and how ideas turn into opportunities, while also strengthening connections between schools and local entrepreneurs.

Through our Junior Entrepreneur Programs, students visit local businesses to explore how products are created, how pricing decisions are made, and how marketing brings customers through the door. These structured field experiences integrate financial literacy, STEM, communication, and community learning into one engaging visit.

We design and facilitate each program, working closely with both schools and business partners so that students gain authentic insight into how businesses operate while companies build stronger community connections.   

Our goal is to help students see that learning is not confined to the classroom — it exists in every local business they encounter.

This expansion reflects our belief that meaningful education happens when students see how skills apply beyond the classroom. We look forward to partnering with businesses and schools to bring these experiences to life.
